Food prices refuse to come down

According to the Antalya Trade Exchange's wholesale market index for July 2026, the price index for vegetables traded at Antalya’s wholesale markets rose by 64.03 per cent year-on-year, whilst the price index for fruit rose by 25.68 per cent. Tomatoes, which cost 2.25 lira per kilo when shipped from Antalya to Istanbul in January, rose 15.5-fold to reach 35 TL in July.
